Although the name of this cultivar would seem to suggest a close link with Spain, the Valencia orange is present primarily in numerous Sicilian citrus groves but is considered one of the most widespread cultivars in the world, especially in South America and California. The Valencia orange tree stands out for its upright posture, abundance of dark green leaves, the presence of thorns (although not very numerous and of limited size) and medium vigour. In the spring months (but also in other phases of the year) it has a rather luxuriant flowering, with flowers with very white petals that give off a very characteristic and pleasant smell.
