The mulberry (morus) is a very interesting fruit plant, even if it is often overlooked and relegated among the "minor fruits". It has behind it a long tradition in peasant agriculture of past centuries, in particular because it is linked to the breeding of silkworms, its cultivation has only been abandoned in recent years. This tree produces sweet and tasty blackberries, it is part of the Moraceae family and we can classify it into two main species: the black mulberry (Morus nigra) and the white mulberry (Morus blanca), which differ in the color of the fruits.
