Dragon Blood Plum is a Sino-Japanese variety that is characterized by high vigor and abundant and constant productivity. At the time of fructification it is sensitive to spring cold. Quite vigorous tree, with spreading habit, intermediate flowering, moderately fertile and inconstant. Intermediate ripening variety. The tree has medium/low vigor with medium productivity, need for pollinators (Shiro and Sorriso). The fruit has a medium size, rounded shape with a dark red colour. Highly flavored red pulp.
L'albero di Susine preferisce l’esposizione in pieno sole e il clima caldo temperato. Predilige terreni umidi e profondi di medio impasto anche argillosi, purchè ben drenati. Irrigazioni regolari nel periodo della fioritura, dell’allegagione e della fruttificazione. Concimazioni ricche di azoto in primavera e soluzioni a base di fosforo e potassio al momento della produzione. Letame o stallatico durante il riposo vegetativo.
